CARTER, George Albert Alexander

Born June 29, 1927 in London, England, passed away peacefully Tuesday,
July 7, 2009 at Extendicare Peterborough. George is survived
by his wife Ruth, sons Stephen (Nancy) of Oakville and Terry
(Roxanne) of Lindsay, former wife Doris of England. stepson Ron (Nancy)
of Peterborough, grandchildren Ryan (Jannie), Alexandra, Ainsley, Jamie
and Michael, great grandson Christopher, sister Elsie, nephews
Barry (Elaine) and Duncan (Val) and nieces Sally (Tony) and Jacqueline.
George was a WW II veteran who emigrated to Windsor, Ontario
in 1957 to work as a tool and die maker. He moved to
Peterborough, Ontario where he was employed by Outboard Marine.
George was the former owner of the Royal Burger, Royal Chef and Royal
Dolphin Restaurants.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the
wonderful staff at Extendicare Peterborough where George was cared for
in his final months. At George's request a Private Family Memorial will be
