SIMMONS, George Leslie – Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday March 17, 2012. George Simmons of Peterborough in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Ann Nelson. Dear father of Colleen Morrison of Lindsay, Lori Ware (Steve Miller) of Peterborough, Sheryl Nelson of Peterborough, Robin Nelson of Toronto and Wendy Nelson (Howie Newson) of Lakefield. Loving grandfather of Miranda (Chris), Jake (Jen), Jennifer (Joe), Alyson, Allan and great grandfather to Aidan, Zoe, Jeremy, Jessica and Dante. Son of the late Hazel Simmons. Friends will be received at the COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter St. W. from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial service to celebrate George’s life will be held on Wednesday March 21, 2012 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Kawartha Shrine Club, 1757 Sherbrooke St. W.
