Janemar Sheila Cline Obituary

CLINE, S. Janemar (nee Ferguson) Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April the 5th 2014, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Beloved wife of Bill for 40 years. Cherished sister of Dan Ferguson. Dear aunt to Christie Freeman, (husband Rob, children Jack and Ben), Amy Carter, (husband Neil, daughter Olivia) and numerous cousins.

Janemar was born in Guelph, ON, and attended school there. She finished her secondary education at Neuchatel Junior College in Switzerland. She received her BA at University of Toronto and her Masters of Social work at Sir Wilfred Laurier. She spent many years working in social planning and research. After retiring from the Department of Social Service in London, ON, she went on to be a founding Board member of the Elgin County Community Care Access Centre and Second stage housing for battered women and their children. In addition, she was President of Elgin County Canadian Mental Health Branch, later Chair of Canadian Mental Health Ontario Division and was a member of the CMHA National Board of Directors. She received the Queens Jubilee medal for her service to Mental Health.
