<p>HART: John Wilbert</p><p><br></p><p>Unexpectedly on Thursday, October 2, 2008, John Wilbert Hart, 57. Singing, dancing, paddling and life partner of Kate Jarrett. Loving and enthusiastic father of Terry, Martha and Rachel. Much loved son of Maxine Hart, and brother of Judy Stuart (Sandy), Ellie Buckmaster (Glenn), and Evelyn Hart. Favourite playground for his many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his father, Reverend Terry Hart, and his mother and father-in-law, Mary and Merrick Jarrett.</p><p>John had a wonderful and unique sense of humour and a relentless enthusiasm for life and family. It was manifested every day in his love of music, theatre, dance, sports, gardening and in coaching his children in hockey, soccer and ballet. He brought a thoughtful and principled approach to his work as Peterborough’s City Solicitor for the past 18 years that made him a respected colleague and friend. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and everyone he touched in the community.</p><p>To celebrate John’s life, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Hospice Peterborough would be greatly appreciated and may be made at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling Community Alternative Funeral Home at 705-742-1875. Directions to the service and condolences to the family also available. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at GEORGE STREET UNITED CHURCH, 534 George St. (at McDonnel St.), Peterborough. A reception at the Church will follow. </p>
