Peacefully at Community Nursing Home, Port Hope, Ontario, on Thursday, May 15, 2008, in his 93rd year. Born in St. Catharines, Ontario on May 12th, 1916 to the late Ernest and Jessie (nee Clark), Leslie is predeceased by his wife, Helen Kerr (nee Shearme), brothers Ernest (the late Elsie English) and Stanley, and sisters Elsie (the late William Parker), and Doris (Ernest Dalton). Leslie leaves behind former wife, Margaret (nee Dixon), loving daughters Diane (Robert Ware), Patricia (Merrill Paquette), granddaughter Yvonne (Robert Brown), great grandsons Matthew and Jeremy Brown, Gregory and Jeffery Paquette, nieces and nephews Gwen (Keith Holt), George Croft (Linda), Dennis Dalton (Karen), and Allan, Robert, Joan and families in the Windsor area. Friends may call at COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter Street West, Peterborough, (at the bridge), on Tuesday, May 20, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Ontario Lodge # 26 of Port Hope will conduct a Masonic Service on May 20, at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel, Wednesday, May 21, at 3 p.m. Donald E. Jones officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior. A private family inurnment will take place at Rosemount Memorial Gardens at a later date.
