BALLANTYNE: Peter James Webber
Peacefully at the PRHC, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Son of the late Raymond and Marion, Peter will be greatly missed by his loving partner and best friend of 28 years, Barbara Ann Jacobs of Curve Lake, Ontario. Missed by sons Ralph (Leanne), of Oshawa, and Peter Jr. (Edna), of Spring Lake, Michigan, step-son Kevin Jacobs (Pauline), sisters Judy of California, and Dianne McChesnie (Barry), of Blenhiem, Ontario. Predeceased by sisters Jaqueline Bates (Ron) of Belleville, and Barbara of Peterborough. Also missed by grandchildren Danielle and Tonia Ballantyne of Spring Lake, and Nicole, Chris and Josh Ballantyne of Oshawa, as well as step-grandchildren Brandon and Brianne Jacobs of Curve Lake. Also survived by 4 nephews and 5 nieces (one predeceased, Pamela McChesnie). For 30 years, Pete served the communities of Bowmanville, Kingston, and Kaladar before retiring as a Sergeant in Belleville on December 31, 1993. Peter spent much of his life traveling throughout the western world by cruise ships and driving. He and Barb spent 15 years after retirement at their winter home near Palm Springs, California. A Memorial Service for Pete will be held at COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter Street West, Peterborough, on Saturday June 9, 2012 at 1 p.m. Visitation one hour prior.
