HUNWICKS, Reginald Russell – April 22, 1939 – January 26, 2012 (Retired from Canada Post, Etobicoke and Peterborough, after 33 years of service). After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reg at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care on January 26, 2012 in his 73rd year. Reg leaves behind his soulmate and best friend of 29 years, Margaret. Devoted father to Debbie, David (Julie), Barbara Kerel (Stan Janiga), Natasha Kerel and Rob Kerel (Amanda Beaulne). Proud Poppa of Andrew, Alexander, Ashton, Adreyan, and Brianna Taylor, Ava and Bianca Janiga all of Port Perry, Scugog Island, Justin Benn and Evan Klatt of Peterborough, and Bradley Beaulne, Bobby, Kaylee and Joshua Beaulne Kerel of Peterborough. Survived by brother Wayne (Kathy), sister-in-law Joanne (John), dear friend to Sue, Susan, and others, and of course Chyna Skye. Reg had a great love for sports, hunting, fishing and travel. Don’t even think about touching the remote if there was a game on! We will miss his stories, his amazing sense of humour, his laughter and his great love for his family. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Reg’s life held at the home of Barb and Stan in Port Perry, Ontario on Scugog Island, on Saturday January 28, 2012 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. There will also be a sacred ceremonial fire burning for four days from January 26th to January 29th at Barb and Stan’s Home.
