<p>Cummings, Wayne Taylor – “Shin” of Buckhorn, Ontario and off-reserve member of the Curve Lake First Nation. Wayne died peacefully surrounded by family at home on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in his 74th year. Dearly loved by his wife, Eileen (Pluard) of fifty-five years. Devoted father to Terry Cummings (Cathy Kealey); Dwayne Cummings (Penny); Trudy Heffernan (Kevin), and Fred (predeceased). “Gramps” adored his grandchildren: Steven Cummings, Callie Cummings, Clifford Legge, Tommy Heffernan, Anna Heffernan and Andrew Heffernan. Survived by brother Noble Cummings (Carole); sisters Judy Garbutt and Ida Coppaway; sister-in-law Fern Cummings; brothers-in-law George Payton and Murray Whetung. Predeceased by his parents, Wesley and Gertrude Cummings, brother Austin Cummings and sisters: Elva Whetung, Mary Taylor, Marion Sillaby, Joyce Coppaway, Deborah Payton, Doreen Cummings and Sally Cummings. Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation and Celebration of Life at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, (North of Parkhill) on Saturday November 28, 2015. Visitation at 10 a.m. prior to the service at 11:00. Immediately following the service, burial will be at the Lakehurst/Sandy Lake Cemetery followed by a reception at the Curve Lake Community Centre.
