After a long courageous battle with cancer, Diane passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Seaforth Community Hospital. Born in Kincardine Township on February 23, 1946, Jean Diane (née Emmerton) MacLeod of Seaforth, was in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Jim MacLeod for 52 years. Loving mother of Tracy Nash (Jim) of Seaforth, Deanna McKelvie (Terry) of Garson and Troy MacLeod (Nancy) of Garson. Cherished Grams of Robyn Illeman (Nathan), Renee Gill (Tom), Lindsay Nash (Josh Harris), Chelsea McKelvie, Lauryn McKelvie, Colt MacLeod (Jaime), Sienna MacLeod, and Great-Grandma of Dani Lynn, Alayna, Robbie, Kylie, Addison and Nash. Dear sister of Lea Emmerton, Bob Emmerton (Mary), Steve Emmerton (Kathy), and sister-in-law of Eric MacLeod (Judy). Also missed by her step-mother Eunice Emmerton, step-siblings Ed McGilvery, Rick McGilvery (Debbie), as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Gladys (née McKay) Emmerton, step-brother Ken McGilvery, and step-sister-in-law Sandra McGilvery. At Diane’s request cremation is taking place and a celebration of life reception will be held at the Seaforth Legion, 123 Main St. S., Seaforth, on Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Canada, or to the charity of choice would be appreciated and can be made through McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390.
