Louise Smale

Helen Louise Smale passed away peacefully at Seaforth Long Term Care Home on Saturday, September 9, 2017. In her 88 years among us, Louise blessed the lives of her family and friends with a nurturing source of love, caring and kindness. Louise will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ross, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage, and their children Elizabeth Cardno (Bill Barber) of Coboconk, Bob of Aberfoyle and Doug (Jane) of Egmondville. Treasuring memories of a very special grandma are Louise’s 7 grandchildren and her 14 great grandchildren. Louise will be fondly remembered by her brother Jack (Jeanine) Case, sisters-in-law Doris Hackney and Esther Smale, and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Maggie and Edwin Case, son-in-law Ken Cardno, and her 7 siblings. Respecting Louise’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Road, Egmondville on Tuesday, September 12, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. followed by a memorial service to celebrate Louise’s life beginning at 1:30 p.m. At the conclusion of the service a reception will be held in the church hall. Private family interment will take in Staffa Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Egmondville United Church or the charity of one’s choice.
