Raymond C. Eden

Fulfilling his final wish, Raymond Carl Eden, passed away peacefully at home, in Seaforth, on Saturday, October 14, 2017. In his 80 years among us, Ray shared our lives as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bev and their children, Randy (Debbie) of Belwood and David of Seaforth along with his furry companions Misty and Beau. Cherishing memories of a loving grandpa are grandchildren, Lindsay (Jeremy) Jackson, Kyle Eden (Emily Sidsworth), Alycia Bromley (Lee Naraine) and great grandchildren Kolton and Griffin Jackson. Ray will be fondly remembered by his brother William Eden of St. Thomas, sister-in-law Thelma Catt of Alymer and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Norma Eden, sisters Phyllis Addley, Audrey Hickoff and her husband William, and Bev’s siblings, Cyril and Doug Davies and Monica Gebbie. Friends and family will be received for visitation at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390) on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. A memorial service to honour Ray’s life will follow at the funeral home commencing at 2 p.m. A reception will follow. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date at Orwell Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Association or the charity of one’s choice.
