Alice Margaret Henry (nee Blackler), passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday January 25, 2014 at the age of 80.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband Harold. Both Harold and Alice are former members of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Kirkton. Alice was predeceased by her parents, William and Elsie Blackler and her brother Burns Blackler. She was the much loved sister of Doris Fairbairn of London. She is survived by her three children; Ruth Ann (Grant) Woolford of London, Mark (Kate) Henry of Thorndale and Jeff (Trudy) Henry of Gananoque. Her grandchildren are: Lee Ann (Graeme) Woolford Stirling, Douglas (Amanda) Woolford, Elizabeth Woolford (Simon Briggs), Jared Henry (Amy Harrison), Justin Henry (Steven Quast), Alex and Scott Henry. Alice is also survived by 6 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister-in-law Verna Blackler, cousin Wilma Davis, and numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the compassionate care extended to Alice during her stay at Kensington Village.
Family and friends are invited to ST. JAMES ANGLICAN CHURCH, 65 Church Street South, St. Marys, on Thursday, January 30, 2014 for visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Rev. Father Rishi Sativihari officiating. A private family interment will be in the spring at St. Paul’s cemetery in Kirkton.
