Albert John Herman With his family by his side, Albert John Herman peacefully and quietly entered heaven on Wednesday, July 2nd 2014 in his 87th year. ``Ab`` was a quiet, humble and honest man. His word was his bond. He gave all of himself to the care of his wife and family and enjoyed the simple things. His greatest joys were the time he spent with his family. He loved the beauty of nature and was a gifted craftsman and tradesman. He truly lived his Christian vocation as a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Albert was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen Elizabeth Herman, his parents George and Elvena Herman, a sister Joan and her husband George Everitt, and brother-in-law, Lucien Lauze. He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Paul Bart Sr. and Elizabeth Bart and brother-in-law Paul Bart Jr. as well as sisters-in-law Simone (Sally) Bart and Bea Bart.Albert is survived by his son Gary Herman (Linda), daughter Rebecca Herman and daughter Nancy Bomasuit (Bob Kalmusky). He is also survived by his grandson Christopher Bomasuit (Rebecca) and great grandchildren Drew and Hannah and granddaughter Melissa Bonasuit and great grandson Luca. Albert is also survived by his sister Valerie Lauze and brothers-in-law Harold Bart and wife Sonia, Bernard Bart, Ken Bart and wife Betty, Don Bart and wife Dorothy, and many nieces and nephews. Albert will be sorrowfully missed by many good friends and neighbours. Albert will rest at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert St., Stratford. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. with Father Philip Joseph officiating. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. Memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation through the funeral home at 519-271-5062 or Mass Cards would be appreciated. ``I am not dying, I am entering Life`` - a quote from St. Therese de Lisieux.
