Amy Whiteside, 93, passed away peacefully at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, Ontario on Tuesday Dec. 6, 2016. Cherished wife of the late Jack Whiteside (2009). Loving mother of Esther Brown (Patrick) and Lenor Anderson (David). Dear grandmother of John Brown (Tawnya), Esther Oleksinski (James) and Murray Anderson (Cassandra Simpson), great grandmother of Mancer, Jenna, Lisa, Robert, Morgan, Adora and Tristan and great great grandmother of Mavrick. Amy will be missed by her niece Betty McKone (Alan) and nephews Gordon Conroy (Joanne) and Robert Stooke (Erika). Also survived by her sister in-law Carmen Whiteside and many nieces and nephews in Quebec. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Esther Waterland and brother Martin Stooke. Amy was a long-time member of Ontario Street Baptist Church and loved to sing in the church choir. Friends will be received at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert St., Stratford on Friday December 9, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Ontario Street Baptist Church through the funeral home by calling 519-271-5062.
