With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Gramma, Aunt and friend, Audrey Beulah (Carter) MacPherson. Audrey passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, Ontario on April 11, 2016 in her 93rd year. She was the youngest daughter of the late Harry Carter and former Myrtle Dickinson of Carlton County, New Brunswick. She grew up and graduated high school with honours, and then attended Vocational College in Woodstock, New Brunswick. Audrey married her husband, Gordon Evan, in 1949 and moved to Stratford, Ontario, where she had been a proud member of the community for these past 67 years. Besides giving her loving devotion to her family, she also involved herself with service and support of Knox Presbyterian Church in Stratford. She always delighted in a visit home to New Brunswick whenever possible. Audrey is survived by her three children, Betty Mae and husband Pat Madden of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Ron MacPherson of Stratford, Ontario and Marilyn Nancekivell of London, Ontario. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Devin (Kelly) and Chelsea, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Audrey is predeceased by her husband Gordon, her brother Malcolm (Phyllis) Carter and her sisters Dorothy (Stewart) Durling and Phyllis (Ralph) Wood. Friends and relatives may call at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford, this evening, Wednesday, April 13, from 7-9 p.m. A service in Audrey’s memory will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery.
