Piper It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Anne Piper (nee Pike) age 55 years announce her passing at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford on Saturday March 9, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born in Stratford on Dec 8, 1957 to her parents Olive Pike of Stratford and her late father Cecil Pike. Betty was the beloved wife of Donald Lloyd Piper (2008). Proud mother of Captain Andrew Piperand his wife Lisa and Mark Piper and his fiancée Sarah Flatt, all of Stratford. Survived by her brother Donald Pike (Margaret) of St. Mary’s and brother in law Stan Piper (Phyllis) of Port Huron, Michigan. Also loved and sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Betty was a member of the Ruth Rebekah Lodge, the poppy committee and a member of the Navy League Branch all of Stratford. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday March 14, 2013 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at James A. Rutherford Funeral Home 156 Albert Street, Stratford. A Memorial Service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Friday March 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Nancy Wetselaar officiating.
