Florence Helen Fawcett

Florence Helen Fawcett, passed away peacefully at Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell, on October 23, 2015 in her 81st year. Born at Lot 25 Concession 7 in North Easthope Township, she was the daughter of the late George Porter and the former Christena McCallum. She is survived by her son Todd and wife Pearl of Stratford, brother James Porter of RR#1 Stratford and sister Jean and husband Byron Morris of Mitchell. Treasured Aunt of several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is also predeceased by a brother in infancy. She served her community by teaching 4-H clubs for many years. Florence served on the executive of the Perth County Junior Farmers and won a trip to Great Britain in 1960. She enjoyed her gardening and creating beautiful floral arrangements that she shared with her beloved congregation at Knox Presbyterian Church, North Easthope. She was also a member of the Knox Church W.M.S. North Easthope. Friends and Relatives may call at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford on Tuesday, October 27, from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 28, at 11a.m. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, North Easthope. Rev. Dr. Andrew Fullerton will officiate. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Perth County 4-H Association or the Canadian Cancer Society through the funeral home at 519-271-5062. www.jarfh.com
