Joan Elaine Christensen, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Stratford General hospital with family by her side. Born in New Hamburg, the daughter of the late Ella and Edwin Zoeller. Beloved wife of the late Richard Christensen. Loving mother of James Mountain (Sue), Stephen Mountain (Debbie), Mark Mountain (Donna). Grandmother of Trisha Schneider (Steven), Amanda Mountain (Jeff Flieler), Dean Mountain (Danielle). Great grandmother to Lucas Schneider and Owen, Caleb, Samuel and Cole Flieler. Predeceased by daughters Linda Mountain and Sharon Mountain. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg - 82 Bergey Court – on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm. We will also be honouring and laying to rest, alongside Joan, her late husband Richard Christensen and daughter Linda Mountain, both previously cremated. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow at the New Hamburg Canadian Legion Branch 532, 65 Boullee St, New Hamburg, from 2-4 pm.
