Lloyd “Shaney” Schoenhals It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Schoenhals at home on Wednesday May 24, 2017. Born in Amulree in 1923, son of the late George Schoenhals and the former Idora Doerr. Dearly loved by his wife Jacquelyn (nee Farr) Roulston Schoenhals whom he married in 2003. Together they lived fourteen short, happy, carefree years in Port Rowan and Stratford. Survived by Michael and Norma Jean Schoenhals, Robert and Chris Schoenhals, Jennifer Schoenhals, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Shaney will be missed by Bill and Carol Roulston, Ric and Mary Roulston, Kathy Bruce and by his special step grandsons Mitchel and Robert Bruce. Also missed by his other 8 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Myrtle in 2000, son Timothy in 2016 and stepson-in-law David Bruce in 2012. Shaney, as he was known, grew up in Milverton. He joined the R.C.A.F in 1942 and trained as a pilot. After the war he became a pharmacist and had his own business, “Falls Pharmacy”, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He loved his sail boats and spent his leisure time on the water as well as pursuing his woodworking hobby. Friends will be received at Greenwood Court, 90 Greenwood Dr., Stratford on Monday May 29, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice may be made through the James A.
