Lois Tsaltas passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2014 at the age of 76 years. Wife and best friend of Nick for almost 57 years. Mother to Vicki Gatschene and Carrie Lane (Steve). Grandma to Jennifer Horenberg (David), Nikki Smidts (Josh), Erica Lane and Dean Lane (Kim). Great-grandmother to Olivia and Levi Horenberg and Caleb and Luca Smidts and Carter Lane. Also survived by brother and sister-in-laws Harry and Jean Tsaltas and John and Diana Tsaltas as well as several nieces nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her parents. During all of their married life Nick and Lois loved to travel. They visited many beautiful and exciting places, leaving them with wonderful memories. Lois was a lifelong member of St. John’s United Church where she volunteered at their preschool for many years. She retired from National Trust in 1997, after more than 40 years of service. Friends and relatives will be received at the Kroehler Room, at the Arden Park Hotel, 552 Ontario St., Stratford, on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 11 a.m. till the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. The Reverend Pirie Mitchell will officiate.
