Marguerite Sarah Pletsch, a resident of Greenwood Court, 90 Greenwood Drive, Stratford and formerly of Burritt Street, Stratford passed away at Greenwood Court on September 3, 2015, in her 99th year. Born in Sebringville, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grieve and the former Elizabeth Entner. Marg had been employed at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival for 27 seasons and following retirement at Brant Jeep/Eagle. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Spruce Lodge Auxiliary and the Perth Regiment Chapter IODE. Beloved wife of Allan Adam Pletsch, who predeceased her on March 19, 1976. Dear mother of Patricia (Pat) Shewen of Stratford, William (Bill) Pletsch and wife Marlene of Sault Ste. Marie and Marguerite (Peg) Brant of Stratford. Cherished grandmother of Spencer Shewen (Cecilia Cheng), Katrina Shewen, Melissa (Rob) Chiarello, George (Stephanie) Pletsch, Sarah Pletsch (Adam Chadwin), Lisa Brant (Brett Ackersviller), Tina Brant (Paul Schweyer). Loving great-grandmother of Jesse, Lilly and Felix Chiarello, Bailey Chatwin Morgan MacLean and Cameron and Carly Schweyer. Dear sister of Irene Yundt of Stratford. Also survived by sister-in-law Marion Grieve of London and several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Henry Grieve, Valentine (Val) Grieve, Cliff Grieve, Alma Jasper, Harold Grieve and Joan Lloyd and son-in-law Barry Brant. Friends and relatives may call at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford, on Monday September 7, 2015 at 1:30 until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. Pastor Jeff Lausten will officiate. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.
