Vivian Paff of the Royal Palisade retirement residence, 200 McCarthy Road and formerly of 82 Graham Crescent, Stratford passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Monday, December 24, 2012, in her 82nd year. Born in Puslinch Township, Ontario on September 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Christina (Capling) Hesse. She was a member of Lisbon United Church and later Memorial Baptist Church, Stratford. Beloved wife of Gordon Paff who predeceased her in September of 1980. Vivian is survived by her dear daughters Darlene and husband Cecil Payne, Heather and Paul Stewart, and son Wayne Paff and Melissa Mason. She will be fondly remembered by brother Howard and wife Mary(Ballantyne) Hesse of Stratford, sister Margaret Paff, and brother-in-law Gilbert Johnson. She was the beloved grandmother of Scott, Joshua, Rebecca, Alexis and Hailey. Vivian is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sister Beatrice Johnson, a brother Harold in infancy, and brother-in-law Laverne Paff. Relatives and friends may call at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the spring at Lisbon United Cemetery.
