BERTRAND, Simone (née Gervais) The family announces with great sorrow her passing Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 80 years surrounded by her family. Married 61 years to the late Conrad Bertrand, predeceased September 22, 2019. Daughter of the late Camille and the late Laurencia (née Brabant) Gervais. Loving mother of Monique Weaver (Rick) and André Bertrand. Predeceased by her daughter Louise Bellmore. Dear sister of Armand (Rachel), Gerry (Lucille), Roland (Sue) and J.P. (Micheline). Predeceased by her sister Rita Lefebvre (late Roger). Cherished grandmother of Shawn Bellmore (Auryanna), Stephanie Gilchrist (Darryl), Matt Weaver (Dave), Melanie Desrosiers (Ziyaad), Joey Desrosiers (Jessica), Elisabeth Bertrand (Kevin) and great-grandmother of Khalid, Aisha, Rayyan, Aiden, Zoey, Hunter, Heather, Breeanna, Chloe, Sahara, Scarlett and Shawn. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Simone was very devoted to her family and started many family traditions that will live on through her children and grandchildren. She was an incredibly strong woman who at times in her life cared for 4 generations under one roof. She and Connie taught their children how to enjoy life and made sure that they could experience all that life had to offer. Simone was very close to, and enjoyed many happy times with her siblings and their spouses. The family would like to thank the staff at the Elizabeth Center for the amazing care that they provided over the years that Simone resided there. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel.
