Kathleen Mary Sikatowsky Sudbury, Ontario Obituary

Kathleen Mary Sikatowsky

In Loving Memory of Kathleen “Kay” (nee Fedoruk) Sikatowsky 83 years Peacefully, Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Jerry Sikatowsky predeceased 2015. Loving mother of Jerry, Diane (husband Denis Gauthier), Danny, Kathy (husband Gary Whissell), Joyann (husband Wayne Savard), Jim, Cindy (husband Greg Holmes), Patsy (husband Dwain Fairbairn), and Robbie (Louise). Cherished grandmother of Simon (Olga), Juliene (Paul), Natalie (Alberto), Michael, Christopher (Michelle), Gavin (Mercedes), Justin, Jessica (Tim), Shawn (Kat), Ashley (Alex), Zack, Casey, Melissa, Darien, Dylan, Devon, Dallas, and great grandchildren Stephan, Sonia, Sofia, Talia, Joseph, Mya, Mackenzie, Nina, Logan, Comia, Aubrie, and Graydon. Dear daughter of George and Bella-Ann Fedoruk both predeceased. Dear sister of Anne Schaj (Nick predeceased) and Dorothy Birmingham. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews.Special friend to Olga, Erna and Lena. Kay was born and raised in Britt. She married Jerry Sikatowsky in 1954 at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mom loved to cook and her Ukrainian dishes were everyone’s favourite, whether it was her perogies or cabbage rolls. Anyone who stepped into her house always left with a full belly, and a warm smile. Family gatherings were the size of a small village and yet, no one went without, there was always plenty (and extra to take home!). Mom loved her garden and had a passion for her flowers – she glowed as much as those flowers did. Family was always #1 in her thoughts and she always praised each and every one of them. We all take great comfort that Mom and Dad are dancing together again with great big smiles and loving eyes for each other. Thank you, Mom, for all the love and care you gave to each one of us. We love you. Until we all see you again in Heaven. A special thank you to all the Pioneer Manor staff and a special thank you to her full-time PSW Marlene Savard. Thank you for all her personal care. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Wednesday and after 9:30am Thursday) Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at 10:30am. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
