Klaus Richter Obituary

In Loving Memory Of Klaus Richter Klaus passed away peacefully ay Health Sciences North on May 21, 2013. He was in his 79th year. He was surrounded by numerous friends and relatives. Klaus immigrated from Germany in the 1950’s and found employment with INCO as a stationary engineer. He is survived by his wife Carmen. On their summer holidays Klaus and Carmen camped and hiked in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, there Klaus could indulge in his love of photography in photographing the scenic sites. Klaus and Carmen both took early retirement. They travelled to Vegas; from there they took a side trip to see the fascinating Death Valley in California, they also took in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. They visited the east and west coast of Canada, Cuba and Mexico. For the past twenty years they spent several winter months in Florida. Klaus was a man of many interest and talents. Sports included tennis, swimming, sailing, skiing and golf. He studied music on his own and he learned to play the flute, organ and piano, but he found his musical love in the accordion. He became quite proficient in this. He was a good story teller, the stories had humour and teachings. He will be sadly missed by his Anishinabe family. In keeping with Klaus wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
