In Loving Memory of Lauri Juhani Ansamaa August 10th, 1944 – May 17th, 2017 Husband partner and best friend of Lorna (nee Wyper) Ansamaa. Loving father of Nancy Ansamaa-Friesen (Fletcher) and Anita Ansamaa. Loving Pappa of Raeann (Nathan), Jerod and Mallory Friesen. Brother-in-law of Linda DeRusha (Haig), Sara Wyper (Cary) and Sandy D’Amour (Roy). Uncle of Annie Lampinen (Garvin), Victor Lampinen (Heather), Jamie Tessier (Christina), Matthew DeRusha (Kat) and Andrea D’Amour (Graeme). Lauri was predeceased by his father Juho, his mother Anna and his sister and brother-in-law Hilkka and Unto Lampinen. Lauri was born in Teijo, Finland. In 1956 after the death of his father, Lauri and his mother immigrated to Canada, settling in Bruce Mines. In 1969 Lauri moved to Lively to serve with the Ontario Provincial Police. For most of his career Lauri was part of the OPP Dive Team. In this close-knit group of men, Lauri made many lifetime friends. Lauri was an avid hunter and he and Lorna spent many happy years at the camp he built on Anjigami Lake in Wawa. minä rakastan sinua Lauri A celebration of his life will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. (Friends may gather after 10:00 A.M. Saturday Interment in the Water’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
