WALTERS, Janice Darlene - of Thamesford, passed away April 07, 2019, peacefully at home with family at her side. Beloved wife of 34 years to Harvey Walters. Mother of Shane and Tina (Brantford), predeceased by son Jeffery Peto (2009), Jason and Kim (Thamesford). Sister to Diane Opfer (Hensal) Jim and June Campbell (Glencoe) Dan and Pat Campbell (Lucan), her mother Lillian Viola Campbell “Nana Soup” (Parkhill) as well as many other cousins. Cherished Nana to Matthew, Simon, Emma, Abbigale and Jack. Predeceased by her father James Campbell (1973). Survived by in-laws; Rick and Susan Walters, Wendy and Ken Waite, David and Janice Walters, Cheryl Ann and Ken Higgin, Karl Walters and Glen Blanchard and Denise and Craig Soanes. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Darryl Walters (1996) and by her parents-in-law Helen and Maynard Walters. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Janice was employed at Maple Leaf Foods for over 33 years. She had developed many friendships over the years. She will be missed. Janice had many passions – family, grandchildren and her fur babies all brought her many hours of enjoyment. Her hobbies – gardening, loved her flowers, landscape gardens. Another passion – Floral design, centre pieces, arrangements, decorating. She especially loved seasonal holidays to decorate accordingly. Halloween, Christmas her favourite , Valentines, Easter – inside and outside. Anything flowers her passion, so when you stop to smell the flowers, she would be thrilled if it made you think of her. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford on Friday April 12, 2019 from 6 – 9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in the Zion Hill - 7th Line Cemetery, Thamesford. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Special heartfelt thank you to nurses, 4 th floor oncology – Victoria Hospital for special care and compassion. The nurses from St. Elizabeth and SW Lin, Oxford County Palliative Care, Janice’s on-going care at home.
