Hayden Cox

HAYDEN ROBERT COX September 5, 2005 – April 23, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved son, Hayden Robert Cox, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the age of 10 years. Hayden was born in Thunder Bay on September 5, 2005. He was a warrior from the beginning, fighting medical battles throughout his life. Hayden loved to be talked to, touched and held and being close to his family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music, playing his instruments and his pet cats, who will also miss him. Hayden attended St. Pat's School, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and teachers. He brought joy to all of his family and friends with his beautiful smile, and gentle soul. He will be truly missed by everyone. Hayden is survived by his parents, Margaret and Mike Cox; siblings, Samantha Cupp and Charles Drennan; Grandparents, Karen Kannegiesser, Box Cox and Haladee Chumway Cox as well as his Aunts and Uncles, Sheri Alcock and Ken (Hanlon), Fred and Laurie Cox, Danny Cox, Cyndel Chumway Cox and Lawrence Chumway Cox and his many cousins. We would like to thank the following hospitals, agencies and people who Hayedn and his family received support from over the last 10 year and provided Hayden with every opportunity to improve his quality of life. The George Jeffery Children's Centre, Atikokan General Hospital, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, St. Pat's School, The Rainbow Centre, Child Development Worker Lorraine Stromberg, Firefly, Easter Seals, the Lion's Club, Kiwanis Club, Dr. Vanderloo of Atikokan and Pediatrician Dr. Derbyshire of Thunder Bay, Presidents Choice Children's Charities and all of our family and friends. Should friends so desire, donations made to the George Jeffrey Children's Centre in memory of Hayden would be greatly appreciated.
