Mrs. Elaine Fioriti

Elaine Fioriti May 22, 1945 – October 16, 2016 Mrs. Elaine Shirley Frances Fioriti (nee Franklin), age 71 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2016, in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side. Elaine was born in Fort William on May 22, 1945. She was dearly loved and cared for by her family and numerous foster children. Elaine was a beautiful wife and mother and above all, her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed travelling, dancing, bingo, cooking and camping. Elaine will be deeply missed by her husband, Aldo; children Frank (Anita) Winters, Tracey (Lloyd) McCoy, Ericka Fioriti and Kerry-Anne Fioriti and her special grandson, Xavier Antonio Fioriti. She is also survived by her siblings, Art (Brenda) Franklin, Linda (Rino) Simeoni, Gail (Brian) Perry and Fay (Paul) Morriseau as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, George Frederick Franklin and Amelia (Buzzie) Franklin and in-laws, Antonio and Antonietta Fioriti. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Cancer Clinic and to Dr. Vergidis and Dr. Ramchandar. Thank you as well to the doctors and nurses in the I.C.U. at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their special care. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Elaine Fioriti will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 leaving the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at 10:30AM to St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM, celebrated by Father Maurizio Maifredi. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in the Westfort Chapel, with Vigil Prayers offered at 7:30PM. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Elaine to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
