Dosithé Robichaud Obituary

Dosithé Robichaud, 87, passed away peacefully September 23rd, 2017 at Extendicare. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 63 years, Carol (Atkinson), his children: Dan (Val) Robichaud, Linda (Clem) Cowan, Judy (Rick) Osipenko, Marian (Jacques) Tremblay and Michael (Judy) Robichaud. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Jessica (Jeff), Michael, Eliza (Damon), Shawn, Luke, Matthew (Andréanne), Rachel, Tyler, Sarah, Forrest (Tina), Hunter (Jessica), Tanya (Paul), Jesse and Jackie and great grandchildren: Mathew, Danielle, Trinity, Charlie, Noah, Roxy, Tiger Lily, Annabelle, Joshua, Anya and Fisher. He is predeceased by his parents, Gaspard and Lina Robichaud, his sister Jeanette (Roland) and his grandson Alex. He is survived by his siblings: Léonie (Bob) Boudreau, Deda (Arthur) Robichaud, Thérèse (André) Fournier, Vivianne (Richard) Noel, Hélène (Vincent) Chiasson, Yvon (Anita) Robichaud, Eddy (Denise) Robichaud, Auguste (Marjorie) Robichaud, Martine (Pierre) Lévesque, Mathias (Betty) Robichaud, Jean-Guy (Glynis) Robichaud, Victorine (Jean-Guy) Leblanc. Also survived by his brother-in-law Rolly (Vera) Atkinson and many nieces and nephews. Dad’s love of community spirit brought him great joy. He was an original member of the Centre Culturel Laronde, a former member of the Ironworker`s Union, a member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, an active member of St. Anthony’s Cathedral’s choir and pastoral assistant. In his later years, he became a dedicated volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society and The Golden Manor. He loved driving and took great pride and pleasure in assisting patients to their appointments. He was rewarded with the Queen’s Medal for his hard work and compassion. Good job Dad. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to St. Anthony’s Building Fund or the Extendicare Palliative Care or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A special thanks to all the staff at Extendicare for their compassion and care towards dad during his stay. As per dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at St. Anthony’s Cathedral on Friday, September 29th, 2017 at 11:00am. Visitation will take place Thursday, September 28th, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home
