It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Joanne Portelance at home on Saturday August 3rd, 2019. Beloved and loving wife of 53 years of Wallace Portelance. Loving mother of Chad Portelance (Melanie), Jeffery Portelance (Karen) and Wally Portelance (Sarah). Cherished grandmother to her precious grandchildren who will miss their Nona dearly, Marissa, Carly-Dawn, Chad, Meagan (Al Savage), Arielle, Kerry, Destiny, Lilly Anna, Katelynn, Dean, Nash and Hendrix, along with her great-grandchildren Myah, Aleah-Dawn, Aiden, Hudson, Kiera, Ellah and Veronika and by her brother Blake Smith. Predeceased by her parents Louis (Blacky) and Anntoinette Mammolletti and her brother Louis Mammolletti Jr. Joanne will be missed by many dear friends and extended family. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing darts and of course, was happiest surrounded by her family. Joanne spent many years as a devoted hockey mom. She took great pride in being a member of the Dante Club, The Ladies of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Women’s League of St. Anthony, the Cursillo and Youth Encounter. The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 6th, 2019 from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held at St. Anthony’s Cathedral on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 at 10:00 am. Cremation will follow. Remembrance donations to the St-Anthony’s Cathedral Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
