Passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at the age of 73 years old. Predeceased by her parents John and Lillian Zadworny, by her brother Bunny Furlotte and her niece Koreen Martin. She is survived by her sister Angie Martin, her brother Anthony Zadworny, nephew Heath Martin and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her longtime friend Bill Pigeon. Johnita was an accomplished professional guitar player. She toured the Las Vegas-Reno, Nevada circuit for a decade, with a band called Helen and the Longshots. Later, she had her own band with her sister Angie in the Timmins area for many years. Johnita was a lifetime member of the Musician’s Association Local 276, A.F. of M. Johnita loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and hunting. She was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.88 in Timmins for over 35 years. Within the Legion, she held a number of Executive positions. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 12 pm (Noon) in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery will follow the service. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 27 from 10am – 12pm (Noon) at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home 705-268-4488.
