Klara Richter (Schattschneider) passed away peacefully in her 96th year on April 5, 2020 at Extendicare in Timmins, Ontario. Klara was born in Mariankowo, Poland on May 7, 1923 to Heinrich Schatschneider and Rosalia Schultz. She married her husband, Erich Richter, in Walle, Germany where they had their son, Edgar. She bravely travelled with her son to Canada to reunite with her husband working in the Renabie mines. With ambition they made a home in Ontario and had their daughter, Angelika. Klara kept a beautiful loving home and established many cherished friendships. She was independent and hardworking, having various jobs throughout her life. One of her favorites was cooking at the Kmart restaurant where she became known for her meals. Klara was kind and gentle with inspiring strength. She loved staying active and dedicated her time to her talents of which gardening, knitting, sewing, and cooking were just a few. Klara will be greatly missed and remembered through all she has taught us. Devoted Mother to Ed (Sandra) and Angelika. Loving Ohma to Karin (Kevin), Steven (Samantha), Matthew (Monica), Lindsay (Tyler) and Great-Ohma to Natalie, Alexander, Audrey and Austen. Predeceased by her parents, husband of 49 years (Erich), brothers (Adolf, Heinrich, Gustav and twin brother Otto) and sisters (Amalia, Lydia, Elisabeth and Else). Cremation has taken place and burial with celebration of life to take place at later date.
