Randy Plouffe Obituary

It is with immeasurable heartache that the family announce his sudden and unexpected passing on September 16th 2019 at the age of 67. He was a loving and doting husband to Hélène Plouffe (née Bazinet) for 44 incredible years. Patient and loving father to Kara Lefebvre (Gilles Faubert) of New Liskeard, Tracy Bayley (Brandon) and Ryan Plouffe (Renelle) of Timmins. Infinitely proud grandfather of Christian, Nikolas, Zakary, Kaelan, Avery, Mia, Pascale and Serge. Randy will be deeply missed by brother Max Plouffe (Hellen) of Lively and in-laws Roger Bazinet (Carmen), Lionel Bazinet, Anita Bazinet (Gerry Faubert), Louise Bazinet (Jody Dawn), Pamela Bazinet (Paul Eaton) all of Greater Sudbury and Denis Bazinet (Michelle) of Milton. Predeceased by his parents, Orel and Vera Plouffe and parents-in-law, Larry and Lucille Bazinet. Cherished by many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by special friends Kari and Patti Raaska of Guatemala and many close friends in Timmins and Sudbury. Randy worked in the automobile industry for over 35 years. He graduated from Lo-Ellen High in Sudbury in 1971, then completed his auto mechanic’s apprenticeship at Sault College. He worked as a Service Manager at Bélanger Ford in Chelmsford then spent over 15 years at Barry’s Ford which is what brought he and his family to Timmins from Sudbury in 1986. He later was the Service Manager at Timmins Honda then worked at Speedy Glass and Tru-Nor before taking retirement in March 2019. Randy was a hard-working, kind and friendly man with unmatched quick wit. He was always equipped with his trademark words of wisdom. The pride he had for his children and grandchildren could be witnessed as he attended countless dance recitals, hockey games, basketball games, badminton matches and academic ceremonies, actively cheering and beaming from the sidelines. The tireless care and attention he has devoted to his wife in the past 10 years is remarkable: unwavering and true to his wedding vows. Randy, Daddy, Pépère: We will miss you every day and we will love you always and forever xoxo. Funeral service will be held on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 10:30 am at St-Joseph Church. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Friday September 20, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
