The family announces with sorrow his death at Timmins and District Hospital on February 15, 2019, at the age of 86.Beloved husband of Jean McCharles-Racey (nee Lefebvre). Loving father of Russell Racey of Cambridge, David Racey of Cambridge, Kate Racey of British Columbia and step-father of Paulette Kerr (Jack) of Timmins and Brian McCharles (Margaret) of Timmins. Dear grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and his sister Carmen. The family would like to say thank you to the second floor Hospital staff in the Long-term Care and the Hospice Departments. Also a special thank you to Dr. DiTullio and Dr. Gillies. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1-4 pm at Rainbow Suites in Timmins (1212 Riverside Drive).
