Rick passed away on Sunday August 25, 2019 at the Timmins and District Hospital, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife Carole and his beloved sons Jesse (Sam) and Drew (Justine). Rick is also survived by his grandchildren Mason, Amelia, Abigale, Charlotte and Gracie; his mother Beverly, his father Robert, his sisters Sandra (Bob) and Christina, his sister-in-law Sylvie (Amanda) and by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the nurses that cared for him during his hospital stay, especially Jackie and Andrea as well as Chrissy from the hospice who made his last day with us peaceful and comfortable. Funeral service will be held on Friday August 30, 2019 at 11am in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday August 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Cremation will follow. Remembrance donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the Lady Minto Hospital / the Chemo Therapy Room would be greatly appreciated.
