VOYER, Gerard Emile 1938-2021 The family announces with great sorrow his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his loving wife Candace Voyer (nee Scott) and his three children; Carol (Sean), Richard (Kelly) and Susan (Rick). He is also survived by four grandchildren; Casey, Ricky, Lindsey and Skylar, two great granddaughters and his step grandson Tareek. He is survived by his two sisters; Isabelle Boisvert (Denis) and Helen Miller. He is predeceased by his parents; Flore and Arthur Voyer and his siblings; Lawrence, Jeannette, Yvette, Antoinette, Agnes and Louis. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Gerard was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being at his camp. He was known for his pranks and practical jokes and always had a joke for everyone even for his co-workers who worked with him at the mine. The family would like to thank Dr. Malo for his ongoing care for Gerard and to Dr. Kvas, Dr. Alsan and the nursing staff of the ICU for the excellent care. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital – Intensive Care Unit or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
