Passed peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the age of 69. Proud Italian by birth (Scifelli, Frosinone) and a most proud Canadian (Toronto, Ontario). Beloved husband of Peggy; dearest father of Deborah and her husband Robert Antenore; Richard and his wife Andrea Guerin; Stephanie and her husband, Stuart Toye. Cherished Nonno of Scott and Kira Boccia and Sebastian Boccia-Toye. Preceded in death by his dear parents, Cesare and Lucia. Aldo will be lovingly remembered by his sister Anita; his sister Tina and her husband Mark Iaboni; his brother Fred and his wife Cathy; and all his nieces and nephews and their children. Will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends, including those in the dental community, here at home, in Italy, the East Coast and across Canada and The United States. Aldo lived a life of philanthropy and service to his dental profession and to his community, in recognition of which he received many awards, among them “The Distinguished Service Award” (CDA), The Governor-General’s ” Caring Canadian Award,” and a Paul Harris Fellowship (Level 3). The family wishes to thank his many caregivers, at Princess Margaret and especially at his beloved St. Joe’s, where he was on staff for over 30 years in the surgery department. Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave., W., at Dufferin St.) on Thursday November 03, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
