Patricia passed away in Mississauga, Ontario on January 9, 2018 at 7:19 a.m. with her son, Robert Phillip Tayman, and his wife, Edna Nano-Tayman close by. Patricia leaves behind a large family, including her son Robert, two daughters, Cheryl Ann Williamson and Cathy Velazquez, her grandson Miguel Velazquez-Tayman, and her siblings Janet, Judy, Kevin, Howard, and Lillian, as well as many very good friends. Born in Long Harbour, Nfld to Patrick and Irene Murphy, Patricia was the eldest of 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Patricia spent most of her childhood in Dunville, Nfld; she attended Memorial University and graduated as a teacher. Patricia taught children in Dunville until she married and moved to Maryland, started a family of her own and worked at Thompson Dairy until she moved to Toronto, ON in 1968 with her three children in tow. There, Patricia had a successful career with Xerox Canada. After retiring, Patricia lived in Ottawa with Cathy and Miguel, before moving to Sutton, Ontario where she resided for the last 15 years. Patricia was an avid gardener and collected antiques; she enjoyed 10 pin bowling, bridge, cross words and recently discovered the joy of casino day trips with good friends. Patricia adored her extensive family. She will be sadly missed from coast to coast across this great continent by all those who loved her.
