Don Allan Guspie

DON ALLAN GUSPIE October 13, 1942 - October 11, 2018 Don passed away suddenly, but peacefully at his home. He is pre-deceased by his father, John Guspie, and his sister, Audrey Eski. He is survived by his mother, Helen Guspie (nee Negraioff) sisters, Janette O’Hagan, Shirley Reynolds, son, Marc Guspie, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Don was a bit of a clothes-horse, in his day, and was often nattily attired. He loved his designer suits and ties, and fancy footwear. He was an accomplished squash player, and an avid sailor.He spent many a weekend on the water, sailing the Great Lakes with friends.Don also had a life-long love of music, both recorded, and live, and attended many concerts throughout his life. He also possessed a keen sense of humour and loved a dirty joke.He worked for the Federal Government (Public Works Canada) for most of his adult life. He was in the public service for over 30 years, until a back ailment forced an early retirement.He enjoyed his days with friends, and visiting his mother, now in a retirement residence, and still going strong at 99 years of age. He will be missed. A memorial service honouring Don’s life will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL CENTRE, 50 Overlea Blvd. (416) 423-1000 on Thursday, November 15th, 2018 at 11:30 am; followed by a brief time of refreshments and fellowship.
