TULK, MELVA ROSE Passed away on April 15, 2017 at Michael Garron Hospital (Toronto East General Hospital) at the age of 77. Loving wife of Allan Lorne for 56 years. Beloved mother of Lynn (Stephen Nowicki) and Dana (Carol). Cherished grandmother of Enise, James and Aurora. Mel was a devoted mother, who took pride in caring for her children and the household. A great lover of travel, there are not many corners of North America that were left unexplored. She always took great care to map out the route and plan trips meticulously so everyone had the best possible memories to take home. Mel pursued a degree in Urban Studies from the University of Toronto as a mature student and wrote for a column called 'Looking Around East York' in the East Yorker news paper. Mel took care of her family and friends and her presence will be greatly missed but fondly remembered. A private family burial will be held in Orillia, Ontario with a Celebration of her Life to follow in May. Details to be posted at a later date.
