Anabela de Jesus Giesta May 25th, 1963 – February 26th, 2019 Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, February 26th, 2019 at the age of 55. Cherished mother of Behlen Wardell. Loving sister of Gualberto Giesta (Leonia) and Grace Martins. Loved and fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Miguel, Maria Joao , Andre, Filipa, Julian, Keerthi, Adrian, Polina, Oliver and Jasmine, and her great-nieces and nephews Julia, Devon, and baby Petra. Anabela, a caring mother and dedicated Catholic, spent her life bringing joy and light to the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Always selfless, she gave her entire being to her family, friends and those in need. Anabela could always be turned to for a helping hand, a loving ear, and some quick-witted humour. Her playful spirit and unwavering faith in the good of others will be sorrowfully missed. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 130 Watford Street, Brooklin on Saturday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 355 Taunton Road East, Whitby. In memory of Anabela, donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. If desired, flowers may be sent directly to the church on Saturday. Donations to St. Vincent de Paul ( St. Leo the Great Conference) can be made by Cheque ONLY and forwarded to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 130 Watford St. Brooklin ON L1M 1K2 Messages of condolence and shared memories can be left for the family by visiting barnesmemorialfuneralhome.com
