God called Fernando peacefully on Thursday December 21, 2017 at the age of 47. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Rosie. Cherished by his dear children, Joey and Michael. Beloved son of Ida and Giuseppe, and brother of Carm (Doug Doctor), and Jay (Paola). Cherished uncle of Luca, Gabriel, Sicily, Samuel, Eloisa, and Massimo. Dear Son-in-Law of Giuseppe and Adelina Iafrate, and Brother-In-Law of Laura (Fernando Silva). Deeply missed by his best friend and honorary brother, Paolo Cornacchia. Our hearts are open wounds that will never heal. We've lost a brother, son, father, uncle, friend, husband and a beautiful human being. The world is a sadder place because of this loss. Fernando was the love of all our lives. He touched everyone with his humanity and was fiercely loyal to all those he loved. It is said that cowards die many times before their deaths but the valiant never taste of death but once. That was how Fernando lived and died - with the heart of a lion. We are forever changed. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd., north of Chancellor Dr.).
