HARGREAVES, Albert - At the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday July 16, 2017 in his 80th year. Loving husband to M. Joan (nee Hutchison) Hargreaves for nearly 59 years. Beloved father of John Hargreaves and Scott Hargreaves. Cherished grandfather of Max, Jacquiline and is survived by special nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends. Predeceased by his two sisters and two brothers. Albert was a long time member of St. David’s United Church, Woodstock. He was a masonic member of King Solomon’s Masonic Lodge # 43, A.F. & A.M., a Shriner, was a JCI Senator 5100, was a past Alderman with the City of Woodstock and most notably was past owner/operator of Hargreaves Realty. Albert was involved in many community organizations and functions. He was especially proud of receiving the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2008. Friends and relative are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday July 18, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at St. David’s United Church, 190 Springbank Ave. Woodstock on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jane van Patter officiating. Interment to follow in the Innerkip Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to St. David’s United Church would be appreciated.
