RUPERT - At her residence on Saturday March 1, 2003. Joyce M. Rupert (nee Oakman) of Chieftain St., Woodstock in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Edwin “Ted” A. Rupert (1997). Dear mother of Frank (Marjorie) of Caledonia, Howard (Rosette) of Noelville, John (Linda) of Princeton, Elaine Hammer (Paul) of Stratford, Betty Scott (Ted), Nora Moreland (Brian), and Carol Somers (Mark) all of Woodstock and Darlene Julian (Bruce) of Beachville. Loved grandmother of 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dear sister of Hetty Strain of B.C. Predeceased by a daughter Marion (1971), sister Winnifred (1988) and a brother Frank (1998). Joyce was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 495 Beachville and the Rose Rebekah Lodge, Princeton. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2:30 - 4:30 & 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Kirby Constable officiating. Interment in the Princeton Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. A Rebekah Lodge service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 6:00 pm and a Legion service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.
