Richard Thomas “Dick” O’Brien January 28, 1937 – September 2, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that the family wishes to announce the passing of Dick O’Brien late of Estevan, SK and formerly of North Bay, ON and St. Catharines ON, on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home following a long struggle with Emphysema and Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 80 years. Dick was a 30 year veteran of the Canadian Air Force, stationed in North Bay, ON, Chatham, NB, and Moose Jaw, SK. Dick was predeceased by his beloved wife Margot (Marg) Edna (Fisher) as well as his parents, Smith and Agnes O’Brien (nee Simmonds). Left to cherish fond memories are Dick’s children, Shelley (Paul) Perreault of Estevan, SK and Terry (Karen Reece) O’Brien of Pilot Butte, SK; siblings, Rosemary (Dave) Lidstone of Thorold South, ON and Dennis O’Brien of St. Catherines, ON. Dick will also be greatly missed by his grand daughters, Donna, Sarah, Kristen and Kimberly and great grandsons, Stephen, Marcus and Ashton; as well as nieces and nephews. In following Dick’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family interment will take place in Estevan, SK. Those so wishing, may make memorial donations to a charity of your choice in honor of Dick. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
