NEUBUHR- Mr. Arthur, dad passed away on August 30th, 2007 in the Victoria Hospital at the age of 78 years. Dad was born on July 16th, 1929 at Carlton, SK. He married Henrietta Carrier on October 18th, 1954. As a young boy dad held a fascination for horses that lasted all his life. His younger years were spent immersed in raising and training thoroughbred race horses, a sport that filled him with pride and the trill of competition. Dad’s farm also became a source of enjoyment for many, both young and old. He had a team of horses and would give sleigh rides parties in the winter. Many students from the Prince Albert School District visited the farm over 20 year period. Over the years Dad made hundreds of pairs of “hooked” woolen socks and mitts, mom called him her “happy hooker”. Dad loved what he called “get togethers”, they included family, friends, food (especially chocolate cake!) and music. Art is survived by his daughters, Kathryn (Clem); Audrey (Craig Jenkins); his sons, Stacy (Jenette Multon); David (Chelsy).; his grandchildren, Clayton, Mindy, Nathan, Rachel and Jesse. Our memories of dad will be shared on Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the MacDowall Lions Hall. Internment will take place at a later date. Those wishing to place a memorial donation may do so to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Art. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
