Pearl passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on March 3, 2008. Pearl is survived by her loving family, her mother Edith Sarley; brother Don (Joan) Sarley; daughter Peggy (George) Miller; sons Peter (Rebecca) Skelding and Richard Skelding; daughters Pilar (Jim) Smith, Pamela Lambert and Jackie (Dan) Blank and all of their families and former son-in-laws John Friesen and Mike Lambert. She was predeceased by her husband Edward ‚ÄúDick‚ÄĚ Skelding; her daughter Katherine Skelding; brothers Ralph Clapp and George Clapp; birth father Ralph Clapp; step father Frank Sarley and brother-in-law William Skelding. Pearl was born in South Marysburg, Ontario on April 29, 1924. She married her life partner ‚ÄúDick‚ÄĚ on December 11, 1943. They moved to England where four of the seven children were born. They then came to Canada where they lived in several different communities before making Prince Albert their home in 1974. She worked outside the home for a short time but was more devoted to raising her children. She took great pleasure in the simple things in life, like hugs and giggles and visits with her children and grandchildren. A special thanks goes to Dr. Maiers, Herb Basset Nurses and Staff, Ambulatory Care and the ICU Unit at the Victoria Hospital and all others that helped make moms time on earth a little easier. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or donors‚Äô Charity of Choice. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 8, 2008 at Gray‚Äôs Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Schenk officiating. Private Family Interment at a later date.
