Irvin will be greatly missed by his family. Irvin is survived by his loving wife Evelyn (Frier); his sons Rick (Evelyn) Scherle of Calgary, AB and Perry (Sandy) Scherle of Prince Albert; his daughters Darlene (Wally) Olmstead of Prince Albert and Diane (Marty) Ruszkowski of Prince Albert. Grandpa will be fondly remembered by his many grandchildren Kassandra (Herbie) Crawford and Chad of Calgary, AB, Kyle of Prince Albert, Jorden, Alexandra and Kaytlin of Prince Albert, Luke and Paige of Prince Albert; Dad was blessed with two great grandchildren Joshwa and Jadin of Calgary, AB; his brother Herb Scherle; his four sisters Frieda (Rudy) Serfas ; Hilda (Mike) O’Showy; Alma Beatty and Ruth (Don) Linklater; sister-in-law Genevieve Scherle; also numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, friends and coffee buddies and special friend Carmen Ruszkowski. Irvin was predeceased by his parents Phillip in 1969 and Magdelena (Miller) in 1978; his brother Art in 1993 and his parents-in-law Mike and Anne Frier both in 1990. Irvin Phillip Bernard Scherle was born December 6, 1932 in Markinch, SK and later with his family moved to Kisbey, SK to help with the farm. In Regina, Irvin met the love of his life Evelyn and married in December 1955. They later moved to Prince Albert where dad started his career driving truck. He worked for 33 years for the DNR/DNS. In 1987 after retiring from the Government, dad’s love of driving truck did not end. Dad worked for Ross Dunn Trucking, Nick Kalinowski Trucking, Ridsdale Trucking and Mark Cartier. Dad loved to listen to the Raider games, enjoyed watching the 6:00 o’clock news and Vanna on the Wheel of Fortune. Dad was always a planner for the next day. He enjoyed his garden and yard, always having the greenest grass on the block. Dad was a master of many skills, there was nothing that he could not fix. Starting the May long weekend to September, he spent most of his free time at the lake with his family. Snowball his favorite cat will miss him. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Both services will be held at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 " 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK, with Pastor Dan Haugen officiating. Interment will be at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
