Leland Peter Courteau, age 25, beloved son of Roland and Judy of Prince Albert, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 18, 2009. Leland is survived by his loving parents, Roland and Judy; his brother Dwight Courteau of Burnaby, BC; his grandmother Anne Michalchuk of Prince Albert; his uncle Allen (Michelle) Michalchuk and their children Trevor and Aaron Michalchuk and 4 aunts Diane (Ernie) Labiuk and their children Shaun, Ryan, and Kara, Marilyn Courteau, Lorraine (Bob) Williams, and Georgette (Alphonse) Fahl. He was predeceased by his grandparents Peter and Simone Courteau and Steve Michalchuk, and one cousin Kyla Labiuk. Leland was born on May 3, 1984 in Prince Albert. He took his schooling in Prince Albert and worked in the Prince Albert area in the food industry until his passing. He will be remembered for his gentle personality, warm smiles, and kindness of heart. He will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and condolences in their time of grief. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 4th Avenue West, with celebrant Father Maurice Fiolleau. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery.
